We remember those who need our prayers and help.
Dear Moxie Ladies
Last month, while I was looking through a magazine, I saw the word FIRE in a super cool font. It reached out and took hold of me, and then I heard the Lord whisper, “This is your topic for Moxie’s next newsletter.” So I tore the word out of the magazine and tucked it into my journal.
I didn’t remember doing this until this morning. A light bulb went off in my head as my husband read the newspaper statistics of the fires in Southern California.
Today's report was that it’s estimated that some 14,000 structures have been decimated by FIRE. This figure includes local businesses, schools, and homes. It’s an absolute catastrophe, and it’s times like this makes us wonder if God even cares.
Ladies, be assured, God does care, and He knows all things, doesn’t He? His heart breaks over the suffering of people, animals, and the environment.
I would like to ask you to join me in a prayer:
Father, we lift- up all of the people who have lost homes and businesses in the Southern California fires. We ask for you to provide shelter, clothes, and food as people rebuild their lives. Please protect and bless the First Responders, and provide for the non-profit organizations who are pouring their resources and time into this community. Father, douse everyone with the HOPE that can only be found in you. Amen.
When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don’t ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don’t run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The “worst” is never the worst. Lamentations 3:28-30
I encourage you to be generous to those in need. https://www.moxieministries.org/donation
