February 2025
We remember those who need our prayers and help.
Dear Moxie Ladies
Last month, while I was looking through a magazine, I saw the word FIRE in a super cool font. It reached out and took hold of me, and then I heard the Lord whisper, “This is your topic for Moxie’s next newsletter.” So I tore the word out of the magazine and tucked it into my journal.
I didn’t remember doing this until this morning. A light bulb went off in my head as my husband read the newspaper statistics of the fires in Southern California.
Today's report was that it’s estimated that some 14,000 structures have been decimated by FIRE. This figure includes local businesses, schools, and homes. It’s an absolute catastrophe, and it’s times like this makes us wonder if God even cares.
Ladies, be assured, God does care, and He knows all things, doesn’t He? His heart breaks over the suffering of people, animals, and the environment.
I would like to ask you to join me in a prayer:
Father, we lift- up all of the people who have lost homes and businesses in the Southern California fires. We ask for you to provide shelter, clothes, and food as people rebuild their lives. Please protect and bless the First Responders, and provide for the non-profit organizations who are pouring their resources and time into this community. Father, douse everyone with the HOPE that can only be found in you. Amen.
When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don’t ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don’t run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The “worst” is never the worst. Lamentations 3:28-30
I encourage you to be generous to those in need. https://www.moxieministries.org/donation

Two weeks ago, during my prayer time, God called Moxie to a RESET. To be honest, when I first heard this, I
immediately began to negotiate wiith God. Smile. Ladies, you all know how we do this, right? Like when we

NOVEMBER 2024
Dear Moxie Ladies,
Over the summer I found myself listening to several renowned neuroscientists. Each of the scientists had done extensive research on the benefits of :
Gratitude
Thankfulness
Appreciation
I learned from these podcasts that there is a WAY to be grateful. Yes…REALLY, and you might want to try it next time you want to acknowledge your heart of gratitude to theFather. Try these steps:
When you first wake up, don’t open your eyes. Your brain is in the Alpha zone. This zone is also known as the Source zone. A time when our connection to God is stronger. So ladies, with your eyes shut breathe in
and out 10 times. Then speak three things out loud that you are grateful for. This will start your day with JOY. I have found this to be true, I am more JOYFUL throughout my day when I start it this way. Sisters, give it a try. What can it hurt?
Here’s some fun MOXIE news:
Our Circle of Friends division has been offered a matching grant to help the Rohani Family resettle in America from Afghanistan. They will be here soon. If you would like to give to help this family, what you give will be doubled. This matching grant ends November 15th. Please follow this link to give: https://www.moxieministries.org/donation scroll down and check the box for - Ministry for Immigrants (Circle of Friends).
We can make a world 🌎 of difference in our communities and around the world.
He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. Deuteronomy 10:18
I love you all and I am so GRATEFUL for you. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!

OCTOBER 2024
Moxie Ladies:
Our last Moxie Bible study was called the BR_DE. During one of our demonstrations
Kim Nootbarr stood in as the BRIDE of CHRIST. The participants of the Bible study dressed Kim in her
wedding dress and veil. They prepared her for the GROOM. As they did this, they read scripture
over her, and they prayed over the communal BRIDE of Christ. It was powerful!
We discussed the importance of having oil in our lamp so that we are ready for the return of Christ.
How do we get oil in our lamp you ask? Oil comes from the continued infilling of
the Holy Spirit through relationship with the Father and time in the word.
Ladies, Jesus may return at any moment..
Are you ready?

Moxie Ladies,
The door to summer is quickly closing. I hope and pray that you lovely ladies have made some splendid memories with those you love.
I know I did! One of those memories was a day retreat that our Moxie Team did together at The Red Bench retreat center in Weimar, California.
We had a lovely time. The facility is beautiful. The owner’s name is Kendra. She provided the perfect retreat for our team.
We began with tea and scones by the pool. Then we split off into small groups and did a Lectio Divina. This is a monastic practice of reading scripture where we:
Read the passage
Meditated on the passage
Prayed about the passage
Reflected about the passage
And shared our takeaway with
our small group.
IT WAS POWERFUL!!!
Then we each went off and found a comfortable place to sit with the Lord and we did a watercolor
about our experience with the Psalm 27. We ended our time together with a delicious lunch and a bit of Moxie business.
I highly recommend The Red Bench. They offer day retreats for individuals as well as groups. Check out their website here: redbenchretreatcenter.com.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:4 ( I highly encourage you to read the whole passage https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm+27&version=NIV )
I love you ladies.

AUGUST 2024
Moxie Ladies,
I have an important question for you today. How well are you hydrating yourself each day? Ladies, water is so important. I can see this in my houseplants when I do not water them. And I can see it in my grandchildren when they get headaches from dehydration.
Is it possible that you are tired and constipated, because you fail to drink enough H2O? It’s probably the culprit. Our brain is 85% water. When we properly hydrate, it energizes our brain. It helps with the production of neurotransmitters and hormones. Are you getting my drift? Water is important!
When we don’t drink enough water, our skin gets scaly, dry, and it loses its shine. If you want to look younger, drink water! I am speaking to the choir here. I often fail to drink enough.
You might be asking…how much water is enough? Research varies from 7 to 11 glasses per day for women. If you are a coffee drinker, you can count half of your coffee towards your goal, tea is three-quarters, since it usually contains less caffeine.
One thing you might consider is choosing someone as an accountability partner for your water consumption and even your exercise goals.
I pray you stay cool and well hydrated this Summer!
As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. Proverbs 27:19
“The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. Isaiah 41:17-18

JULY 2024
Moxie Ladies,
Summer has officially arrived and I just returned
home from a three night camping trip. It was
actually quite an adventure.
My son puts it on every year. He arrived at the campsite
five days before the rest of us. During this time he hauled
up massive rocks from the riverbed. Then he built a
firepit large enough to accommodate a circle of
twenty. It was very SMORE friendly.
We played badminton. We did archery.
We played cards and we ate a ton. For
The record, I love Doritos when I am camping,
And I still can’t get my wedding ring on because
of all of the salt!
One evening we climbed into the back of my sons
pickup truck (See Photo) and drove to the Hot Springs
(Please don’t tell the police!) It was a glorious evening!
I wish you could have seen the NAKED
people at the hot springs scramble to throw
on their clothes when they saw us coming
down the mountain.
I share all of this with you in order to
encourage you to grab friends or family
members and make some wonderful
summer memories. God’s creation is
glorious!
“The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else.
I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born— before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil. I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans.I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas,so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earth’s foundations, I was the architect at his side.
I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence. And how happy I was with the world he created; how I rejoiced with the human family! “And so, my children,[b] listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful. Proverbs 8:22-32
